Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo has called on the club fans to be calm after their defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Pirlo hasn’t convinced since taking over the mantle of the club in the summer with the former club player currently having the team placed fifth in the Serie A log after just two wins in their opening five games.
Speaking after the Barca game, Pirlo said they knew Barcelona would provide a proper opposition but the lessons learnt in the loss will be vital for them in the season.
"We knew it'd be tough against a side that plays good football, that is accustomed to playing at this level, whereas we are a work in progress. Ultimately, it's a match that will be useful for us to grow and improve in future.
“I hope to have more players back soon because I don't have many options and those I start to end up having to play almost 90 minutes twice a week. That's not easy for them, especially when they are young and inexperienced," Pirlo said after the game.
Barca won 2-0 in Turin for the first time in their history, with Mehri Demiral being sent off late for Juve.
