Burnley vs Chelsea: Can the Blues keep another clean sheet?

Chelsea face a challenging trip to face an improving Burnley team, just days after their Champions League victory against Krasnodar.

The time that the Blues have to prepare for the fixture could prove an issue for them, especially when the long haul flights are factored in, and this could give a chance to Burnley, who are yet to win a match this season.

🗞 Preview

Frank Lampard’s men beat Krasnodar 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday but have drawn their last two Premier League games 0-0 and 3-3 against Manchester United and Southampton, respectively, either side of another goalless stalemate with Sevilla.

Given the heavy summer investment at Chelsea, Lampard is coming under increasing pressure to get a consistent tune out of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Co.

With that in mind, the former England international will be pleased to see that Burnley are having a tough time of it themselves, with the Clarets managing just three goals and one point from five Premier League games so far.

That being said, Sean Dyche’s men never make it easy for the big guns at Turf Moor, so Lampard can still expect a battle on Saturday afternoon.

🔮 Likely starting XIs

Burnley possible starting lineup:
Pope; Lowton, Long, Tarkowski, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeil; Wood, Barnes

Chelsea possible starting lineup:

Interesting stats

Burnley have scored the fewest amount of goals in the Premier League so far this season, joint with Sheffield United. They have found the net on three occasions.

Ben Chilwell has created nine chances for Chelsea this season. This is the most of any player in the squad and he has started just three of the six matches so far.
