Liverpool lost Fabinho to a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League win over Midtjylland, and due to his injury, his national team, Brazil, has given Everton's Allan another international call-up.
Klopp had called the injury “absolutely not cool” and said he expected an absence, with the midfielder now missing out on Brazil's November 13 and 17 friendlies.
Liverpool’s schedule leading to the international break has visits to Man City and Atalanta, then after the break Leicester City and Atalanta again.
"The technical team of the Brazilian team called for midfielder Allan, from Everton, England, for the next two rounds of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers," a statement from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) read.
"The player was linked to the place of Liverpool's Fabinho, who was recalled due to muscle damage to his right thigh."
Everton midfielder Allan has played nine games for Brazil.
