Diogo Jota and Sheridan Shaqiri came off the bench and linked up beautifully to give Liverpool a much-needed win at Anfield to make it a record 63 matches unbeaten at home.
Here are the game's key events:
LIVERPOOL 0-1 WEST HAM (Fornals, 10)
This started with Bowen picking the ball up in midfield in between the lines.
West Ham got the ball into the box from Masuaku, and Gomez should have cleaned up easily, but his header went straight to Fornals, 12 yards out.
Fornals took a touch, composed himself, and guided a side-footed effort past Alisson, in off his right-hand post!
Gomez should really have done better there, and Liverpool should have really gotten closer to Masuaku before he delivered.
LIVERPOOL 1-1 WEST HAM (Salah pen, 42)
Salah. At Anfield. Again, and from the spot!
He stepped up, and slammed it right down the middle of Fabianski's goal. The West Ham goalkeeper was actually very close to getting a touch, but in the ball went.
LIVERPOOL 2-1 WEST HAM (Jota, 84)
Shaqiri played a lovely ball through and the two substitutes combined for Liverpool to take the lead.
A clinical finish from the new Liverpool signing saw the Reds take the full three points.
The VAR came into play in the 79th minute to deny Diogo Jota a goal that would have put the Reds ahead, with Sadio Mane appearing to have fouled Ogbonna in the build-up.
