Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny have flown back to England to continue with their recovery following positive COVID-19 tests.
The duo tested positive while on international duty with Egypt, with Salah missing the double-header against Togo, while Elneny missed the second match having played in the first.
The Liverpool forward tested positive last week after reportedly attending his brother's wedding, with Elneny receiving similar results on Monday.
They both tested positive again on Wednesday, potentially ruling them out of the weekend Premier League fixtures.
The two secured a "medically equipped" private plane back to England and will be tested before proceeding to self-isolate as per the guidelines.
Salah will miss Liverpool's big clash against table-toppers Leicester City, further compounding Jurgen Klopp's problems.
The German will miss up to six first-team players for the match at Anfield, following injuries to key players in the last few weeks.
Elneny, on the other hand, will not feature as he Gunners take on Leeds United on Sunday at Elland Road, hoping to bounce back to winning ways after disappointing in their last match against Aston Villa.
