Juventus star man Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed football legend Ferenc Puskas scoring record this after his brace against Cagliari on Saturday evening.
The player who has missed a chunk of games for Juventus after being forced into quarantine opened the scoring proceedings for his side in the 38th minute before adding another in the 42nd minute in what proved to be the difference in the game.
As reported by Neogol, his first goal of the game saw him pass Ferenc Puskas’ tally of 746 career goals, with Ronaldo now having scored 748.
The Portuguese national team captain however still trails Brazilian great Romario who bagged 750 and the legendary Pele who bagged 767 goals in their careers; the player backed to surpass the tallies before retiring from football.
Ronaldo will be hoping that he can close the gap between him and the Brazilian greats starting with their midweek Champions League clash against Ferencvaros with their next league game being away to Benevento on Saturday, 28.
