Celtic's Mohamed Elyounoussi affirms his support for boss Neil Lennon

Celtic striker Mohamed Elyounoussi is rallying behind manager Neil Lennon who is feeling the pressure ahead of Sunday's Betfred Cup clash against Ross County.

The pressure is mounting against Lennon who recently crashed out of the Europa League earlier in the week while also 11 points behind Old Firm rivals Rangers - the form has certainly been dismal.

Elyounoussi, on the other hand, is fully supportive of the manager and affirmed that the rest of the team is backing the Irishman to turn it around.

"If you don’t believe in yourself you should not be in sport,” he said. “We believe 100 per cent in each other and the gaffer.

"We are sticking up for each other. There is no negativity going around here. Sometimes if you don’t get the result people start to see things and criticise but that is part of the game.

“You need a strong mentality but we are moving forwards. Those games have gone we need to analyse what has gone wrong and try to put it right.

“It’s a long season. There are so many games to play, so many points to play so I am not concerned at all.”
