Wolverhampton striker Raul Jimenez has thanked everyone for support messages after he fractured his skull in Sunday's win over Arsenal.
Jimenez suffered the horrific injury after he clashed heads with Arsenal defender David Luiz at the Emirates, that saw the striker hospitalized with a fractured skull. The Mexican was forced to undergo surgery in a London hospital on Sunday after receiving oxygen on the pitch.
"Raul is comfortable following an operation last night, which he underwent in a London hospital. He has since seen his partner, Daniela, and is now resting," Wolves issued a statement on Monday morning.
"The club would like to thank the medical staff at Arsenal, the NHS paramedics, hospital staff and surgeons who, through their skill and early response, were of such help."
Jimenez has now set his sights on a return while thanking everyone for their support.
"Thanks for your support messages. I will be under observation and I hope to return to the pitch soon," the striker tweeted.
Raheem Sterling, Jamie Vardy, and Jack Grealish were among those to send their well-wishes to Jimenez on social media.
