💶 Man United makes extra €3m payment to Sporting Lisbon for Bruno Fernandes

Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon have released their financial reports for the first quarter of the 2020-21 season this week.

This document, which is available on their website, shows that Man United has paid an extra €3m for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes. Sporting claims the payment was made after a set figure of goals was reached by the Premier League side, but that number isn't made clear in the report.

The document also that's that United paid an initial fee of €55m for Fernandes' services and there’s another €25m figure hinging on performance bonuses.

Fernandes has sparkled for United in the Premier League since his arrival in England. In the 2020-21 top-flight campaign, he has scored seven goals and provided three assists. Overall for the Red Devils across all competitions, the 26-year-old midfield schemer has scored 22 goals & provided 13 assists in 36 matches. That's 35 direct goal contributions in 36 outings.

Fernandes will be in action tonight when United welcomes PSG to the Theatre of Dreams on matchday 5 of the Champions League group stage.
