DStv Premiership side AmaZulu have reportedly decided on Benni McCarthy to be the club’s next head coach.
As previously covered on Futaa, Ayanda Dlamini chose to step down from his post as AmaZulu coach, before McCarthy emerged as a leading favourite to become the next gaffer.
According to Soccer Laduma, AmaZulu are ironing the final details on a new deal with the Bafana Bafana legend and former Cape Town City coach.
“Benni McCarthy is expected back in the dugout after Siya sources informed the crew that his next move as head coach is all but confirmed,” reported the outlet.
“Siya sources close to the latest developments at the KZN club have now indicated to the Siya crew that McCarthy has all but won the race for the plum job.
“He is expected to arrive in South Africa over the next week or so given Zungu had set a timeline for appointing a new coach – the Usuthu president wants to have the incoming technical team confirmed and paraded before their game against Golden Arrows on Wednesday,” concluded the report.
