🤕 Manchester City handed double injury blow

Manchester City suffered a potentially damaging double injury blow with Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker forced off during the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

Walker was the first to be taken off in the opening half following a tangle with Jack Grealish and was replaced by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

It got worse for Pep Guardiola and Man City as Kevin De Bruyne was also substituted in the second period, with Gabriel Jesus taking his place.

Speaking after the match, manager Pep Guardiola said he was yet to get a detailed report on the extent of the injuries, suggesting they will have to wait a little longer.

"I haven’t spoken to the doctor. If Kyle Walker asks to be out, it is because something happened. Hopefully just a kick.

Adding: "De Buyne put his hand on his leg, so I have the feeling it will be something muscular. These things happen with this amount of games,"

The injuries are a huge blow for the Spaniard, who has suffered similar injuries to key players including talisman Sergio Aguero.
