Lampard aware of Chelsea pressure, ignoring speculations surrounding his future

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admits he is aware of the pressure of leading the Blues while insisting he doesn't listen to speculations surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard's future at Chelsea is in doubt following the club's 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday evening, leaving the Blues eighth on the log. The west London side has struggled in recent matches and has managed to pick only three matches in the last 10 across all competitions.

This has led to speculations that Chelsea could appoint RB Leipzig's boss Julian Nagelsman as Lampard's replacement. Massimiliano Allegri and Thomas Tuchel are reportedly interested in taking charge of the Blues as they currently have no clubs.

"I don't listen to it," responded Lampard when asked about speculations surrounding his future.

"There's something everywhere if you want to scroll through social media. I don't do that."

"I'm not stupid, I know the pressures that come with managing a top football club but I only do my job. It doesn't matter to me."

On risks of being Chelsea coach

"Absolutely not because my career here was fantastic and it's set in stone. When I say fantastic, I'm not giving it the big I am, I'm talking about the success that I was proud to be part of.

"The link I have here with the fans and the support I get from them is amazing. I knew when I came into the job as a manager that can change - there are things that you can't control."

Chelsea will now turn their attention to the FA Cup when they host Luton Town at Stamford Bridge for the fourth round of the tournament.
