Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the trio of Facundo Pellistri of Brandon Williams and Jesse Lingard is a target of several clubs.
Both players have fallen down the pecking order with Lingard having been replaced by Bruno and the arrival of Allex Telles further sending Williams down the pecking order in the left-back position. For Pellistri, Solskajer believes that finding game time at the highest level will help his growth.
“They’re (Lingard and Williams) still part of the squad, no deal has been struck yet for any players going out. Many clubs interested but let’s see what happens. It’s important to take our wishes into consideration.
“There have been talks and quite a few clubs interested in taking Facundo on loan and that’s maybe what we’ll let him do now. He wants games at a high level,” Solskjaer said on his Tuesday presser.
Lingard has been linked with a move to West Ham, West Brom and Newcastle with Williams wanted by Southampton. Pellistri, who joined the club last summer, has been linked with a move to Spain.
Solskjær: "There has been quite a few clubs interested in Facundo [Pellistri] to go out on loan and that's maybe something we will let him do now. He's had a few games in the reserves and we want to get him regular football in a different level." #mulive— utdreport (@utdreport) January 26, 2021
