Manchester United and Juventus are set to go head to head for the signature of highly-rated Celtic young goalkeeper Vincent Angelini.
The 17-year-old has been part of the Celtic’s youth academy and despite his young age, the six-foot, three-inch tall shot-stopper is attracting serious interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including United.
Reports from Tutto Mercato Web indicate that Lazio, Fiorentina, AC Milan, Everton, Juventus, Southampton, and United are all casting a keen eye over the keeper who can also represent Scotland on an international level despite being called up to represent Italy’s under-18s.
Stretty News however understands that United are frontrunners to land the 17-year-old with the club’s recruitment officials continually making inquiries over the possibility of landing Angelini.
United want to continue with their recent and impressive youth recruitment, with the next position highlighted being in the goalkeeping department.
The player is set to reject anew offer from Celtic and will soon be available to leave for free as he seeks to join a club that could help him progress in his career.
