Manchester City might miss the services of three players when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Rodri, Ruben Dias, and Fernandinho face a race against time to be ready for the tie with the latter two missing the matchday squad for Wednesday night's 3-1 FA Cup fifth-round win against Swansea; Rodri was forced off with an injury after 72 minutes in the same tie.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: “I didn't speak with Rodri but the doctor didn't tell me anything so hopefully he'll be fit. We will see in the next hours.
“Ruben had a fever and still has a problem with his stomach. That's why he was not able to train yesterday and today we traveled. Fernandinho had some niggles in the quad and he was not able to play.”
The three setbacks come at a time when Guardiola is trying to integrate striker Sergio Aguero back in the team following a long injury layoff.
Wednesday's win over Swansea was the first match the in-form Dias has missed since he made the move to the Etihad Stadium.
