βœˆοΈβŒπŸ‡²πŸ‡¦ Kaizer Chiefs denied entry into Morocco over Covid-19 protocols

South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have been barred from travelling to Morocco for a CAF Champions League battle against Wydad Casablanca.

Chiefs were set to take on Wydad in CAF Champions League group meet up this weekend, but the Morocco FA have challenged the trip before asking the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to either postpone or move the event elsewhere.

The FA confirmed the decision via a press statement late on Wednesday:

“The Royal Moroccan Football Association has sent a letter to the Caf Clubs Committee informing it that the Moroccan authorities decided not to allow the Wydad Casablanca match with the SA team Kaizer Chiefs team to be held on February 13 in Casablanca for the first round of the African Champions League due to safety and health related to the recent developments of Covid-19.

“As the Royal Moroccan Football Federation [we] called on the Confederation of African Football to postpone the match or hold it in another country if this is not possible‚” concluded RMFF.
