Here's your five-teams multi ahead of tonight's EFL Championship matches!
Norwich vs Rotherham
Norwich come into this clash with consecutive wins behind them, while they have picked up nine wins at home this term. The Canaries have won seven of their last nine at Carrow Road, while they’ve won six of seven meetings with the current bottom six.
20th placed Rotherham have lost all four of their visits to the top six and they’ve been beaten in six clashes with the current top five. With Norwich looking strong we’re backing them for another victory this weekend.
✅ TIP: Norwich to win
Reading vs Middlesbrough
All but one of Reading’s last dozen home outings have produced over 2.5 goals with the same applying to six of Boro’s last seven away trips, while the visitors have also seen three goals or more netted in four of their last five Championship games overall.
Based on those stats and the likelihood that Boro will push the boat out here as they seek to close the six-point gap between themselves and the top six, there’s some real value to be had in the over 2.5 and we’re also forecasting a 2-2 draw with neither team favored to come out on top.
✅ TIP: Over 2.5 match goals
Huddersfield vs Swansea City
The Terriers have seen their home form tail off, confirmed by last weekend’s collapse against bottom side Wycombe. Huddersfield threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2, which was their fourth home defeat in five.
Huddersfield have lost seven of their last nine league games following their loss to Middlesbrough in midweek. Meanwhile, the Swans have won five from six in the league.
There’s a clear gulf between these teams and with Huddersfield in such dire form at home, we’re backing the Swans to claim all three points this weekend.
✅ TIP: Swansea win at FT
Nottingham Forest vs Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers are sitting 10 points shy of the playoffs after their third successive defeat. Rovers lost 2-1 at Barnsley in midweek, while they’ve lost eight of 15 away trips this season.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest were edged out at Swansea last time out but they look to be on the right track. Forest have lost just three of their last 14, with Chris Hughton building up their defense.
The hosts have conceded less than a goal per game at home this season, while they’ve shipped 31 goals in 30 games overall. However, they’ve struggled upfront and have seen 73% of their games finish with under 2.5 goals scored.
✅ TIP: Under 2.5 match goals
Bristol City vs Barnsley
However, inconsistency has been an issue plaguing Bristol in recent years, with Lee Johnson eventually paying the price after some failed playoff pushes. This losing streak won’t just be turned around by a sacking, especially with Barnsley looking good.
The Tykes won 2-1 against Blackburn this week to make it four games unbeaten in the Championship. They also won 2-0 at Brentford last weekend having put in a great showing against Chelsea in the FA Cup before that.
Bristol City have lost 10 of their last 13 games in the league, so we’re backing the visitors to win.
✅ TIP: Barnsley win at FT
