Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka might decide to represent DR Congo if he is omitted in the forthcoming squad by Gareth Southgate.
Wan Bissaka is one of the best right-backs in the English Premier League and feels that he deserves a chance with the England national team having represented them at youth level.
As reported by The Athletic, Wan-Bissaka also qualifies for DR Congo and will consider switching nationalities if he continues to be ignored by Southgate; the player yet to make a senior appearance for the Three Lions.
The player is behind the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier, Reece James, and Kyle Walker in Southgate’s right-back pecking order and it highly likely that he won't be picked in England’s squad for the European Championships this summer.
The player has started all but two of United’s Premier League fixtures this season and Southgate is expected to name his squad this week ahead of their three World Cup qualifiers this month.
Solskjaer: “I don’t want to do Gareth’s [Southgate's] job but I feel both my full-backs [Shaw and Wan-Bissaka] have done really well. The improvement has been there to see." [men] #mufc— The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) March 2, 2021
