Arsenal thrashed Slavia Prague 4-0 in the second leg of the Europa League to advance to the semi-finals with a 5-1 aggregate.
Emile Smith Rowe had a goal disallowed after good work by Bukayo Saka but Arsenal did not have to wait long. Goals by Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette from the spot, and then Saka, put them well in charge. Lacazette added a fourth in the second half.
Arsenal had a bright start to the game, they started with an intention of making it to the semi-finals of the Europa League. Inside 12 minutes of play, Saka had the ball inside the penalty area, his shot hit the post before Smith Rowe reacted to it and put the ball into the back of the net. There was a quick VAR check and the goal was disallowed as he was in an offside position before scoring.
Minutes later, Nicolas Pepe scored, and yes it counted with Arsenal finally getting the away goal that saw them lead on aggregate.
Arsenal attacked once again and Saka was brought down inside the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. Lacazette stepped up to take it and made no mistake from the spot and Arsenal lead by 3-1 on aggregate.
In the 24th minute, Arsenal were in dreamland, scoring the third through Bukayo Saka. The Gunner had a quick counter on the right-wing as Chambers fed Saka who drove forward towards the box, before cutting back and drilling a low shot into the net at the near post with Kolar rooted to his line.
In the second half, there was a penalty claim by Arsenal after Lacazette was brought down inside the danger zone but the referee wasn't moved.
In the 77th minute, Lacazette grabbed his second of the game and fourth for the Gunners to make it 5-1 on aggregate.
The Gunners will now meet Villarreal in the semi-final of the Europa League.
