FC Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati is set to undergo another surgery this month.
The Spanish youngster had been expected to be back in action last month following an earlier surgery on the rupture of the internal meniscus in his left knee last November.
The 18-year-old, according to Mundo Deportivo, will be going under the knife on Thursday, despite having had an earlier one under the watchful eye of Dr. Ramon Cugat.
The new surgery is excepted to be conducted by the Portuguese national team doctor, one of several who’ve reviewed his injury in recent times, including Dr. Antonio Maestro, of Gijon, and Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, of Lyon.
It is said that the three doctors have been in constant contact these past few weeks, building a highly personalized plan to test Ansu’s knee and help him get back to full fitness. The hope is that surgery will end Ansu’s meniscus problems, with a plausible option being a meniscectomy or partial removal of the meniscus.
The Barcelona star is expected to be out of action for another two months something that rules him out of the Euros this summer but is expected to be fit for the start of next season.
