Real Madrid move to second with a win over Granada

Real Madrid moved to second on the log following a 4-1 victory over Granada on Thursday evening.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 17th minute through Luka Modric. Gutierrez played a wonderful chipped pass over the top for the Croatian midfielder who made no mistake in finding the far corner of the net with a low finish.

Just before halftime, Madrid had their two-goal lead and it was Rodrygo seeing the back of the net. Marvin did so well down the right side to pass to the Brazilian and he did the rest by finishing low into the far corner.

In the 72nd minute, Granada pulled one back and the game was on thanks to Jorge Molina's cool finish. Suarez's initial shot was saved by Courtois, but Molina was alert to the rebound and angled a volley into the back of the gaping net! We have a game on our hands again.

Madrid restored their 2 goal lead through substitute Alvaro Odriozola and it was a huge goal for Zinedine Zidane's men.

Real Madrid had a fourth goal and that was three points in the bag for the defending La Liga champions. Silva came rushing off his line to intercept a long ball, didn't make the best of contacts and Benzema was on hand to finish from distance.
