News out of Europe reports that Arsenal have tabled an offer for Sheffield United's highly-rated midfielder, Berge.
According to Football London, the 23-year-old Norwegian is valued at around £25.8m, with reports saying Arsenal have offered £17.2million, but Sheffield are said to want no less than £25.8million plus a 10-20% sell-on fee.
“With Sheffield United willing to sell, there is said to be interest from elsewhere, including Liverpool and Tottenham, but with the midfielder keen on the Gunners, Arteta's men are favourites,” Football London reported.
“They say Arsenal have already made a bid worth around £17.2million for Berge, but Sheffield United are said to want a minimum of £25.8million plus a 10-20% sell-on fee.”
Coming next for the Gunners is a short trip within London to face Crystal Palace in a Premier League game on Wednesday.
