Dstv Premiership club, Cape Town City, have reappointed Bafana Bafana legend, Eric Tinkler.
The club parted ways with Dutch coach Jan Olde Riekerink last week, before announcing Tinkler’s return to the club on Monday morning.
Riekerink, who was brought in to deliver fabulous attacking football, showed glimpses of it but lacked consistency and results.
Tinkler gets recalled after steering the club to its first major trophy with the MTN8 in 2017, while also finishing third in the league, before dumping the club to take a lucrative deal at SuperSport United in 2018.
Tinkler’s experience also includes two runners’ up achievements in the CAF Confederations Cup with Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United, while he also lifted the Telkom Knockout with Matsatsantsa in 2018.
The former Bafana Bafana defensive midfielder will finish off the club’s remaining to games of the season, before serving a four-year deal.
