Granit Xhaka, an Arsenal midfielder, has stated that he would be interested in joining Roma this summer.
The Switzerland international has reportedly surfaced as a transfer target for the Italian giants, with incoming boss Jose Mourinho reportedly admiring the 28-year-old.
Xhaka has stated that he is "100 percent focused" on representing Switzerland at Euro 2020, although he has hinted that a move to Italy during the summer transfer window might be appealing to him.
"Of course I read [about the interest]. But now I'm one 100% focused on the national team here," Xhaka told Blick. "That's more important than Arsenal or rumours right now.
"I have another two years on my contract in London and Arsenal they know what they have in me. When the time comes to talk about a transfer, I'll be here.
"To be honest, I didn't hear what Mourinho has said about me. But that makes you proud. Everyone knows Mourinho, knows what he has achieved. Mourinho knows how to win titles. You can now see what work I have done over the past few years."
Xhaka was a significant player for Arsenal in the 2020-21 season, appearing 45 times across all competitions and producing one goal and two assists.
