πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ Gor Mahia set up Shield Cup final date with rivals AFC Leopards

Gor Mahia will face fierce rivals AFC Leopards in this year's Shield Cup final after both sides won their respective semi-finals on Sunday to advance.

Both sides needed penalty shoot-outs to book their final spots, with Leopards winning the first semi-final 6-5 against the debuting Equity FC side, who forced a 0-0 draw in normal time.

Equity were wasteful in front of goal, and could have easily taken a 2-0 lead had Josephat Waititu and Levian Ochieng converted their chances from six yards out.

In the end, Ingwe held on and managed to convert their spot-kicks to move into the final.

Gor, on the other hand, saw off Bidco United 4-1, after the match ended 1-1 at the Utalii Grounds.

Kenneth Muguna had given K'Ogalo the lead in the fourth minute, and they seemed on course to a big win.

They were however pinned back in the 19th minute as David Orem managed to beat the defense line and gave Bidco the equalizer.

Gor were forced to play the last five minutes with 10 men after Philemon Otieno received marching orders.

The final will be played on 4th July at a ground yet to be named by the federation, with the winner set to walk away Sh2 million richer.

The winner will also get the chance to Kenya in the CAF confederations cup.
