Lionel Messi has admitted that his desire is to win a trophy with the Argentine national team after landing in Brazil for this year’s COPA America.
The 33-year-old recently spoke with the media, where Diario AS relayed his comments and according to the player, they are in a good place to win an accolade as a group.
“I think we arrived at a good moment; it was a long time since we got together; I think we played two good games, but we need a victory. We have to win to continue growing,” Messi said when they landed in Brazil.
There is a belief that this might be Messi’s last shot to win silverware with his national team with the Barcelona captain saying it will be his greatest dream to win a trophy with the team.
“I am always available to try to be with the National Team; I am at the maximum; it is my greatest dream to get a title with the National Team. I will try to keep looking for it until I can,” Messi added.
