AFC Leopards came from two goals down to old Sofapaka FC to a 2-2 draw in a Kenyan Premier League match hosted at the Wundanyi Grounds on Wednesday 16, June 2021.
Leopards who had dropped points in their last game against Bidco United knew well that anything than a win was going to put them in a precautious position and they didn't do themselves any favors when Sofapaka was to take the lead in the first minute through Lawrence Juma for his tenth goal of the season.
Even before Leopards could settle from the early shock, Juma was toa dd his and Sofapaka's second in the tenth minute. Leopards were to pull a goal back in the 27th minute via Elvis Rupia through the penalty spot for a frenetic second half of the proceedings.
As it turned out, Austin Odhiambo was to leveled matters late on in the game but it was a result that wouldn't go well with the club fans and the manager knowing well that the lost points are not something they needed at this time of the season.
In another game of the day, Kariobangi Sharks found the going tough against Wazito as they went 0-2 down.
Wazito had taken a first-half lead through Kevin Kimani with Rooney Onyango doubling the club's second in the 66th minute in what was his first goal for the club.
