Arsenal have had a £40m bid for Brighton defender Ben White rejected.
According to reports, the Gunners are expected to be back with an improved bid for the 23-year-old, who had an outstanding campaign for the Seagulls, which saw him receive a national team call-up.

The defender's valuation could be as high as £50m, but an agreement is in the coming weeks.
The Gunners are in the market for a new defender, following the departure of David Luiz, who has been allowed to leave after the expiry of his contract.
Having finished eighth last season, coach Mikel Arteta will be keen on bolstering his side and has already been linked with a move for Leicester's James Madison among other top talents.
Arsenal will start their 2021/22 Premier League campaign away at newcomers Brentford on Saturday, August 14.
