Talks between former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre and Crystal Palace have reportedly broken down.
Favre was close to signing the contract but had a last-minute change of heart as the London club prepared paperwork.
I see you’re LFC fan bro, Konaté was not a bad call... if clubs contact managers, agree and situation change, it’s not my fault. I report what’s happening. There was a work permit process for Favre... Fonseca was with Spurs board in Milano... part of the game. It’s not Fifa 😉— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 24, 2021
Favre, 63, was set to replace Roy Hodgson, who left the role at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Palace have held talks with former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito, but just like Favre, they broke down at the initial stages.
Frank Lampard, Patrick Vieira, and Steve Cooper have also been mentioned as possible replacements.
