De Gea suffers injury in Spain training

Spain will be without David de Gea when they play Croatia in the knockout phase of the ongoing EURO 2020 tournament on Monday evening.

The Man United shot-stopper is yet to feature for the La Roja at the tournament, with Athletic Club's Unai Simon preferred between the posts.

Although he took part in the session at the Parken Stadium, De Gea was forced to leave the field during the drills, after about 20 minutes, with reports indicating a thigh problem was the cause.

in a video shared, the 30-year-old could be seen angrily leaving the pitch, and was immediately followed by physios into the dressing room.

It's however said to be a minor injury, which could see him back for the quarter-final match if Spain can get the better of the 2018 World Cup finalists.

In his absence, Brighton's Robert Sanchez, who was picked ahead of Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, could be elevated to back-up Simon.
