🇰🇪 KPL Roundup: Bandari, Wazito & Sofapaka all settle for draws as Homeboyz disarm Ulinzi

Bandari FC came from behind to force a 1-1 draw at home against Nairobi City in a Kenyan Premier League clash played on Sunday afternoon at Mbaraki Stadium.

The hosts were the better team through the match and came close to taking the lead in the 13th minute when Darius Msagha unleashed a thunderbolt from yards out, but it was expertly kept out by the goalkeeper.

Despite the hosts knocking on their visitors' door for long spells, they could not find a way through their defence, with the match going into the break with no goal.

City though got off the blocks first in the second period, and it was Peter Opiyo who put them ahead just a minute after the whistle.

The lead did not last long though as William Wadri pulled the hosts level from the spot just after the hour-mark following a handball inside the box.

The two sides could not be separated despite both having chances to score a winner, with the match ending 1-1.

It was the fifth time Bandari have dropped points from their last six games, leaving them sixth on 33 points, same as Nairobi City, who are placed eighth.

Elsewhere, Sofapaka saw red late on as they also played out a 1-1 draw against Vihiga United.

The visitors led at half-time through Dennis Monda's 45th-minute strike, but talisman Lawrence Juma ensured they shared the spoils with a 51st minute.

In Nakuru, Kakamega Homeboyz stunned Ulinzi Stars 3-1 in an entertaining clash.

The scores remained 0-0 at half-time, but the match roared to life in the second period with four goals.

Kibwana Shami put the hosts ahead 10 minutes into the second period, beating James Saruni from outside the area.

Allan Wanga then made it 2-0 with an easy tap-in from close-range, after a good cross from Shami.

Kibwana then returned with his second of the day and Ulinzi's third with a solo effort from the flank, before easily beatin Saruni.

With 10 minutes to go, John Njuguna pulled one back for Ulinzi, and it proved a consolation.
