Tottenham Hotspur keeper Joe Hart is set to join Scottish giants Celtic this summer.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, talks have begun between the player's camp and the Scottish giants with the parties confident that a deal can be reached.
Hart was relegated to third-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham under Jose Mourinho last season and after the club signed Pierluigi Gollini last week, the Englishman is expected to trip down further the pecking order.
The 75-cap ex-England stopper moved to Spurs last summer after being released by Burnley.
Football Insider reports that Celtic top target was Fraser Forster last season but when he opted to remain at Southampton they moved on to Vasilis Barkas.
However, the Greece international endured a nightmare campaign and ended last season on the bench with the team keen on finding an experienced keeper.
This season has not got off to a better start for Barkas after he made a costly error in Celtic’s 1-1 draw with FC Midtjylland in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier last week.
Hart kept five clean sheets in 10 appearances across all competitions for Tottenham last term. The 34-year-old has kept 127 clean sheets in 340 Premier League games for Manchester City, Birmingham City, West Ham, and Burnley.
