Gernot Rohr admits he is confident about the chances of the Super Eagles ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Super Eagles team is in Group D alongside Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau. Speaking to journalists regarding the draw, Rohr says the group is tough but remains positive they will make it to the next round of the tournament.
"The first game is Nigeria against Egypt, it’s going to be a very good game and other group game too," he said.
"We have to win our matches to advance to the round of 16. It is not an easy Group but we are confident."
"We will have two friendly before the competition. We will start on the third day (11th of February). So we have to be in Cameroon on the 6th of February, So there is more time."
"We will be here to prepare and adapt to the weather, As for the stadium, we’ll go there tomorrow and look at the state of things."
The 68-year-old led the Super Eagles to a third-place finish at the 2019 edition of the tournament in Egypt.
