Emerson Royal has joined Premier League side Tottenham from Barcelona.
Spurs submitted a bid worth £25.73m for Emerson on Monday which was accepted by Barcelona and personal terms have already been agreed. Arsenal were also keen on signing Emerson, but the 22-year-old's preference was to move to Spurs.
"We are delighted to announce the signing of Emerson Royal from Barcelona, subject to international clearance and a work permit," a statement from the club read.
Emerson who will wear the number 12 shirt will travel to London from Spain later this week.
