Paris Saint-Germain’s superstar Lionel Messi has helped to reveal the club’s new third kit from Nike.
As confirmed by the French giants, the new gear is inspired by the 1990s era, while also delivering a 100% recycled jersey from polyester which comes from plastic bottles.
“To highlight the talent of their outstanding 21/22 squad, Paris Saint-Germain are dressing in black. Officially launched today, the Third collection is predominantly black and grey, making a powerful statement,” the club said.
“It is inspired by the shirts in which the club has dazzled since the 1990s and which have remained etched in the Parisian supporters’ memories. Several items of the collection pay tribute to the supporters by using Paris area postcode numbers,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Messi is training ahead of his PSG debut in the UEFA Champions League away in Belgium against Club Brugge.
