Bernd Leno is reportedly frustrated after dropping out of Arsenal's starting eleven.
Leno has started in the first three opening Premier League matches where he conceded 9 goals with the Gunners failing to pick up any victory. Arsenal's summer signing Aaron Ramsdale, who arrived from Brighton was handed a starting role where the north London side picked the first win with the new keeper keeping a clean sheet.
Ramsdale was brought from Sheffield to bring competition to Leno but now appears to has quickly put pressure on the established No 1.
However, Mikel Arteta has dismissed claims that Leno has reacted baldy after dropping out of the starting XI.
"He could be frustrated, but he was top with his teammates in training and everything. That’s not true,” he explained.
Asked whether he had given assurances to either of his ‘keepers about starting long-term, Arteta continued: “No. That’s what I said to them and I said to the goalkeepers in the past two years."
“If we want to do is to empower performance and to get them to train and play in a certain way, how can I guarantee them anything?"
The Gunners will be hunting for their second win when they face Burnley over the weekend.
