Ronald Koeman sacking would cost Barcelona £10m

Barcelona would be forced to pay roughly £10 million if they fired head coach Ronald Koeman, according to reports.

After a tumultuous year at the helm, the Dutchman is the subject of much conjecture about his future at Camp Nou.

According to a recent report, certain members of the Catalan club's leadership have requested that the 58-year-old be fired because they believe he is not the ideal man to lead the team forward.

The managers who could replace Koeman at Barcelona

According to the Daily Mirror, relieving Koeman of his duties would cost Barcelona about £10 million, a sum they currently cannot afford due to their acute financial problems.

The present contract of the former Everton and Southampton manager expires at the end of the season, but as pressure mounts on the Barcelona manager, the report says that the club may lose patience in the coming months.

Koeman is thought to have been granted three La Liga games to save his job, and a loss to Granada, Cadiz, or Levante might be the end of his time in Catalonia.

They have already drawn against Granada, in the 1-1 match on Monday night.
