West Ham captain Mark Noble has taken a jibe at Jesse Lingard following their win over Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Lingard spent the second half of last season at West Ham and scored the winner against his former side over the weekend in the league to break the hearts of some of the fans who adored him.
On Wednesday, the player was given a start by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but failed to replicate his weekend outing with Noble accusing the midfielder of diving to earn his side a penalty.
"That's football, he dived and I told him off for screaming, funnily enough he didn't really do it at our place but he does it here!" Noble said in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
But the 34-year-old, however, went ahead to praise Lingard intimating that he had no grudge with the player.
"We had a laugh on the pitch today, I love Jesse. He's a great character and I'm so pleased he's come here and getting his chance.
"He's scored some fantastic goals obviously the one against us was hurtful, he's a great lad and he deserves everything he gets."
