Injured Pulisic omitted from USA Squad

USA has omitted Chelsea FC midfielder Christian Perisic from their squad for the next set of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying matches against Jamaica, Panama, and Costa Rica.

Pulisic has been ruled out for Chelsea's match vs. Juventus in Turin on Wednesday as he continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered on national team duty in World Cup qualifying three weeks ago

Apart from Pulisic, manager Gregg Berhalter will be without Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna with the coach forced to look elsewhere to fill the void left by the two players.

The American tactician hopes that RCD Mallorca striker Matthew Hoppe, Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, and Lille OSC midfielder Timothy Weah can help fill the roles left behind Pulisic and Reyna.
