Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi has been asked to share his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe's consistent reports on leaving leave the French giants.
Mbappe suggested to the media that was set to leave PSG before the start of the current season, but the deal failed in the last hour after the French club rejected two bids from Los Real Madrid.
Messi has since been asked about the existing reality of Mbappe's likely exit in the near future. The Argentine feels that Mbappe is key to the club's objectives.
"Honestly, I just arrived and I do not know enough, but like everyone else, I'll wait to see what happens," Messi told France Football.
"If it (Mbappe's future) is finally with us, it will be a great joy and an element to achieve our objectives."
Messi also took the moment to describe his relationship with the French star since arriving in Paris from Barcelona at the start of the season.
"(It's been) Super good from the first weeks," he added.
"In addition Kylian speaks perfect Spanish and with a player like that it is easy to understand each other."
"The good relationship off the field makes things easier and although it is still too early to draw conclusions, I am sure it will go well," the 34-year-old Messi concluded.
Meanwhile, is expected to be the center of Argentina's FIFA World Cup Qualifier battle against Peru this week.
