Man United fans plan fresh protest ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United fans are planning a fresh protest at their owners when they take on Liverpool next week.

The fans had protested at Old Trafford back in May when Liverpool visited Old Trafford with the game being abandoned after supporters of the home team broke into the ground to demonstrate against the club's owners the Glazers.

The Daily Star reports that the club chiefs are on 'red alert' ahead of the weekend's clash, with United fans suggesting they make it 'Round Two' in posts over social media

According to the reports, officials have already been in contact with Greater Manchester Police and local authorities to plan in the event of any protests after being caught somewhat off-guard by the last incident, which occurred on a day the match was due to be played behind closed doors.

The atmosphere could be worse as the home fans are currently not impressed by the outing exhibited by the team despite a proper summer transfer that brought Cristiano Ronaldo back at the club.

United who lost to Leicester City comes up against a Liverpool side who brushed aside Watford over the weekend with the Reds currently one of the most in-form teams in the league.
