Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra won’t be delighted to see Lionel Messi lift the 2021 FIFA Ballon d’Or.
Evra has simply said he is fed up with seeing Messi win the accolade after six times. The Frenchman feels N'Golo Kante or Jorginho should win the accolade this year rather Messi.
"I'm fed up; it's rotten that they [might] give it to Leo Messi,” Evra said on quoted by the Mail.
"In my opinion, the Ballon d'Or has to go to Jorginho or Kante.”
The former Juventus star concluded to highlight Messi's unsuccessful season with FC Barcelona before he left for PSG in August.
"What are they going to tell me he did this year? Winning the Copa America, well, that's fine. But say what he did all year with Barcelona."
Coming up next for Messi is UEFA Champions League football as PSG take on Germany’s RB Leipzig.
