Everton has received a blow on striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as it emerged that he will have to spend more time on the sidelines.
The striker hasn’t featured for the club since August 28 and according to a statement from the club, the player has suffered a setback to his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury.
"Dominic Calvert-Lewin has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury and will remain out for a number of weeks.
"The Everton striker has not played since the Blues’ Premier League clash at Brighton & Hove Albion on 28 August, when he scored from the penalty spot in a 2-0 victory," the statement noted.
The news will be a blow for the player who is hoping to make it to the 2022 World Cup with England in the summer.
