Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak has revealed that it would be a nice feeling for him if he were to play in England in the future.
The 22-year-old had been linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer with Real Madrid and Barcelona said to be the other teams interested in his services.
Asked about his dreams of playing in England, Isak told the Independent: “I’m in a good place at the moment, I’m very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well. They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s a very high level and of course one day it would be an alternative. Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest level possible.
“People will always count goals, I want to score, but I want to be a modern striker. I love playing football and that means being involved as much as possible. I think that’s why Spain has suited me very well."
Arsenal are said to be looking for a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, who is out of contract next year, and see the Swedish as an ideal player to fill the void.
Isak joined Sociedad in the summer of 2019 from Borussia Dortmund and has since made 101 appearances and scored 38 goals.
