FKFPL: Gor Mahia maintains top spot as Wazito sink deep in relegation

Gor Mahia maintained their spot at the top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier league (FKFPL) despite their draw against Police FC on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, Boniface Omondi was to give Gor the lead in the 54th minute but Clifton Miheso haunted his former side with the equalizer seven minutes later after keeper Adama failed to deal with his free-kick.

In the other matches of the week, Kakamega Homeboyz failed to go to the top following their 1-1 draw against Bandari in a drama-filled clash staged at the Bukhungu Grounds on Sunday.

After a 1-1 stalemate in regular time, Homeboyz were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes but the effort was saved by keeper Michael Wanyika with the guest captured attacking the referee after the incident.

Wazito FC finds themselves placed third from bottom following their 2-0 loss to KCB on Saturday in what was their fourth loss of the season.

KCB goals were scored by former Wazito striker Derrick Otanga who ensured that the Francis Kimanzi side continued with their winless start to the season; the club sitting 16th on the league table on two points, a point above bottom-placed Vihiga Bullets who were thumped by City Stars.
