Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale is set to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur in January according to reports.
Spurs' newly-appointed head coach Antonio Conte believes Bale still has a lot to offer and could sign him on a loan deal in January and make the deal permanent in the summer should he impress during his stay there; Bale’s current contract does expire at the end of the season.
El Chiringuito as relayed by Fichajes reports that Spurs have entered the market for the Welsh international who was on loan at Spurs last season.
The player has struggled for game time at Real Madrid this season having started just three games before suffering a knee injury. The player himself is keen on putting an end to his career at the Santiago Bernabeu with a return to the Premier League high in his wishlist.
During his stay at Spurs last season, Bale featured in 34 competitive outings and scored 16 goals, chipping in with three assists. He however fell out with ex-Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, who utilized him as a bit-part player in the team.
Apart from Bale, Spurs are said to be interested in signing Inter Milan star Stefan de Vrij on a loan deal in January.
