UEFA CL: Chelsea look to end 12-year streak against Juventus

When Chelsea play Juventus in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, they will be trying to halt a 12-year winless streak.

Thomas Tuchel has few complaints about life at Stamford Bridge, having won the UCL title last season and presently sitting atop the Premier League table.

The Blues, however, go into their next match against the Italian giants hoping to win for the first time since a 1-0 victory in February 2009.

On that occasion, Didier Drogba's early goal proved to be the difference, as Chelsea advanced to the quarter-finals with a 2-2 draw in Turin.

Since the double-header, the West Londoners have wasted a two-goal lead in a 2012 group-stage match, with Arturo Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella canceling out Oscar's double. The Blues have lost their last two games by 3-0 and 1-0 scores, with the latter coming just a few days ago in Italy, when Juventus rocked the European champions.

Tuchel's men have now gone through five halves of football - a total of 237 minutes - without scoring against their next opponents.
