Tottenham Hotspur moved into fifth in the English Premier League standings thanks to a comfortable 2-0 home win against Norwich City on Sunday evening.
Antonio Conte's men went into the match on the back of two successive wins; against Leeds and Brentford, and they made it three thanks to a goal in each half from Lucas Moura and Davinson Sanchez.
The hosts started the match brightly and were awarded a 10th-minute opener when Moura was teed up on the edge of the box by Heung-Min Son, and his howitzer of a shot into the top left corner gave the keeper no chance.
Surprisingly, there was little action on both sides of the goals for the remainder of the opening half as Spurs led 1-0 going into the break.
They however switched up the tempo in the second period and came agonizingly close in the 66th minute when Harry Kane almost beat Tim Krul, but the keeper made a world-class save to deny the Englishman.
The second goal arrived three minutes later as Sanchez fired a rebound inside the right post after the ball fell to him in the box.
Son then added a third to ensure they picked maximum points and kept a clean sheet yet again.
Still in London, Patrick Bamford scored a last-minute goal to salvage a draw for Leeds United as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Brentford.
Marcelo Bielsa's side led 1-0 at half-time against the Bees but were stung in the second period as they leveled through Shandon Baptiste before taking the lead thanks to Sergi Canos.
They seemed to have sealed the win until Bamford pounced to score the equalize in the fifth minute of added time.
The draw left Leeds in 14th place, while Brentford are 11th.
