Manchester United are in advanced talks with Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
United have been in the market for a central midfielder since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's days and after missing out on a few names, they intend to address the deficiency in the short January window.
According to the Catalan publication, El Nacional United will fight Barcelona for the signature of the player who has become a regular figure in the Marseille team this season.

Kamara is yet to sign a new deal with the French giants despite his contract expiring in the summer and Marseille will be willing to cash on him in January to prevent the risk of losing him for free in the summer.
Primarily a defensive midfielder, Kamara can also play as a center-back on both sides of the defense.
United have relied upon Fred and Scot McTominay to man their midfield in a combination that many feel cant help the team challenge for titles with Nemanja Matic being the other option in the position.
