Brentford table Eriksen short-term deal

The elegant Dane could be back in England. Brentford have reportedly offered Christian Eriksen a six-months contract.

As Futaa reported late last year, Inter Milan decided to terminate Eriksen's contract as Serie A rules do not allow players to play with implantable cardioverter defibrillators fitted.

The 29-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest at EURO 2020, which was the last moment he was seen on the matchday grass.

Brentford have now taken a step to bring back Eriksen to the English Premier League.

"The Athletic understands that Brentford have offered the 29-year-old a six-month deal with the option to extend for a further year," the outlet reported.

"Eriksen is a free agent after coming to an agreement with former club Inter Milan to terminate his contract last month.

"He suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s European Championship game against Finland on June 12."

Meanwhile, Futaa will keep a close eye on any possible announcement on Eriksen to Brentford.
